Hey guys, so I've been receiving a few requests to compile a few tips on how I lost weight, what I eat/ my workout routine etc , so here it is !
Disclaimer : I'm not a nutritionist / nor do i claim to be an expert, I'm only sharing what worked for me :)
I guess these tips are quite commonly known :
And a few more regarding dieting -
- Drink lots of water. Some people think I'm mistreating my bf by finishing all his food, because he's thin like a stick but no, he eats as much as i do. The difference is this dude drinks at least 2-3 litres of water per day.
- And I cannot stress this enough : Do not, ever, skip meals. You're only hurting your body & you might develop gastric . Instead, take light meals throughout the day & stock your shelves – and your fridge – with foods that fill your tummy faster and for longer. Greek yoghurt makes quite a good snack :) But no munching after dinner!
- I'm not sure if this applies specifically to chinese food- But i personally try to avoid eating out, esp. at 大排档 /煮炒(hokkien) stalls as most of the time they use MSG in preparing foodstuffs which is linked to weight gain.
Breakfast is oatmeal, yogurt, egg whites, fruits or vegetables- based on carbs to keep energy level on top for the daily activities.
Lunch is non-vegetarian, is based on protein like chicken, turkey, fish(i love salmon!) and salads, Dinner is similar to lunch but sometimes i take brown rice as an alternative.
So sometimes, people ask me, does that mean you don't take fast food/fried stuff AT ALL?!

My favorite on cheat days ;)
Well, of course not! I think It's okay to indulge in your favorite food one in a while! So don't banish them forever , because suddenly those foods become extra tempting and before you know it, you're "cheating" on your diet and feeling like you failed. Try to find a balance among all of it :)
Moving on to workouts -
My workout inspiration would be, ultimately the Victoria secret Angels & fellow MHB blogger Karen KHO.. i started out by following her First Month Workout Routine.
Add in some thigh&butt workouts -
And for arms :)
PS : it works, but it really is difficult. and umm i use water bottles instead of weights :)
So I guess that 's it!
Take it slow and steady, and in the long run you'll achieve what you're aiming for!
Good luck & remember to have fun!
