Oktoberfest @ QEII

Hi guys! So back with another alcohol event update - Oktoberfest @ QEII ! Was a rainy night with thunder which made the seaside venue all the more dramatic (just kidding!) ahhhaa .

First , a little about Oktoberfest !
Oktoberfest originated in 1810 in Munich. It all started out as a wedding reception which included horse races in a Wiese (meadow).Because the celebration was so successful, King Maximillian decided to hold one every year in the meadow and eventually, everyone around the world started celebrating it as well.

It's pretty hard for me to get good shots because we were seated on long tables so here are a few collages - of course, we were served tiger & Guinness cuz it's not a beer festival without beer! And throughout the night we were entertained by a live band from Germany with two lovely ladies as the main singers! (They're actually really friendly and would walk about interacting with the audience)

There was also Alex the magician who came all the way from Singapore! I think the highlight of his performance was that he could extract beer (yes real, drinkable tiger beer :p) from an iPad! I'm still working on figuring out how he did it . heh.
They also had stage games such as 'pretzels, more pretzels' & 'savage the sausages' which i managed to witness. Of course, there were more but we didn't stay till the end to witness cuz we were all getting tipsy :p
